Omikuji - Tying Up Bad Fortune

Omikuji are fortunes given out by Japanese shrines and vending machines on strips of paper. These fortunes can range from "Great Blessing" to "Great Misfortune!" If you do not like yours, tie the omikuji to the designated tree or wire to prevent your fate from following you home.
