Larry Flint (Paul Newman) invents a machine that converts sound to painting. It all goes well until wife Louisa May (Shirley MacLaine) suggests that Flint replace his clanging, sirens and jackhammers with music. Well-known stars abound in this comic romp with glitzy production numbers.
