Belly Suction Cups and the Feeding Habits of Smelly Neptunians

Frank R. Paul's Neptunians--unlike his highly advanced Jovians and Ioians--are simple, seal-like "lizard-fish creatures" evolved to live in Neptune's viscous seas. Suction cups on the creature's belly enable it to "anchor itself to underwater formations, and thus free its arms and legs for tearing the tough mossy growths which must form its food."
